Create an intergrated campaign for BAGGU that provides commentary on a current social issue, that being plastic pollution.
THE SOLUTION:
BAGGU's 'Less is More' campaign aims to educate consumers about the overconsumption of plastic shopping bags and their contribution to plastic pollution in our oceans — encouraging viewers to seek sustainable alternatives.
The overall look and feel of the campaign and bag designs are similar to BAGGU’s already-established brand. The crucial part of my campaign is various bags with illustrated patterns depicting aquatic life affected by plastic pollution alongside bold text contrasted with bright backgrounds that help to emphasise the contents — creating this call to action by provoking thought and change in the minds of their viewers.
This campaign will be featured mainly online via social media and their website as it’s primarily used by younger people, those who will have to live with the neglect from those before them. Alongside online platforms, traditional media such as posters will also be utilised — placed in places relevant to the routines of the target audience, allowing them to reach a wider range of people daily.
